A statewide organization, the Pennsylvania Women's Legislative Exchange (WLX) encourages women to take part in the legislative process. The annual membership drive runs from July 1st through June 30th.
Since its inception in 1969, WLX serves as a non-partisan clearinghouse, networking forum and resource exchange for professional women who strive to expand their understanding of existing legislation in a non-competitive climate. While it does not lobby or take a particular stance, it apprises its members of legislation that impacts women and families.
